The Role of Multiculturalism in Digital Transformation Strategies

At its heart, digital transformation is just as much about shifting mindsets and behaviors as it is about embracing new technologies.

This mini-track explores how multicultural dimensions—such as cultural diversity, global mindsets, and inclusive practices—influence and shape digital transformation efforts across organizations. It seeks to understand how culturally aware strategies, international collaboration, and diverse workforce perspectives can foster innovation, improve user engagement, and enable successful digital adoption in a global business environment.

Daniela Staicu is a university lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She holds a PhD in Economics (2019) and has dedicated her research to the development of social enterprises, focusing on the challenges and opportunities within the social business ecosystem in Romania. Recently, she completed a postdoctoral program focused on exploring innovative business models for the circular economy. Since 2016, she has been teaching in the English and French sections of FABIZ, guiding students in developing entrepreneurial strategies with a strong emphasis on social impact. As a Fulbright scholar at Penn State University (2018–2019), she deepened her knowledge of sustainable business practices and the development of social enterprises at a global level.
