Mini-Tracks

Mini Track Chair:

  • Cătălin Dobrea, Vice-Rector of Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania
  • Adriana Miclea, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania

Unexpected social and political events worldwide developed in the last three years conflicted with theoretical assumption, practical predictions, and reasonable expectations. Conspiration theories and unorthodox economic measures walked hand in hand leaving passage to extremists, polarization, and disputable pandemics. Praised artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and FinTech innovation showed their weaknesses in scandals and bankruptcies. Composite indicators aiming at describing multi-dimensional characteristics and general classifications abound, while researchers struggle to ensure consistency and stability of the weighted constituent factors. We consider these as gifts in the light of Karl Popper and Thomas Kun’s falsification and paradigm scientific theories and we invite any papers counting failures in predictions to contribute for shifting research paradigms.

The main topics covered by the hereby call for papers are related to:

  • Audience Research
  • Methaphors, Paradigms and Falsification

  • Composite indicators
  • Analytic Hierarchy /Network Processes
  • Multicriteria Decision Analysis
  • Decision Support Systems
  • Behavioral Decision Making
