Mini Track Chair:
Unexpected social and political events worldwide developed in the last three years conflicted with theoretical assumption, practical predictions, and reasonable expectations. Conspiration theories and unorthodox economic measures walked hand in hand leaving passage to extremists, polarization, and disputable pandemics. Praised artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and FinTech innovation showed their weaknesses in scandals and bankruptcies. Composite indicators aiming at describing multi-dimensional characteristics and general classifications abound, while researchers struggle to ensure consistency and stability of the weighted constituent factors. We consider these as gifts in the light of Karl Popper and Thomas Kun’s falsification and paradigm scientific theories and we invite any papers counting failures in predictions to contribute for shifting research paradigms.
