Healthcare systems worldwide are being transformed by technological innovation, knowledge-based management, demographic change and the growing demand for accessible, efficient and patient-centred services. Yet significant gaps remain between Eastern and Western European healthcare systems in technology adoption, organisational capabilities, resource allocation and health outcomes. This track explores how innovative business models, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, knowledge transfer and sustainable management practices can help close these gaps and build more resilient, equitable and efficient healthcare systems.

We welcome theoretical, empirical and interdisciplinary contributions on topics such as value creation and value-based care, digital health and data-driven management, telemedicine and digital inclusion, healthcare entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems, financing and public–private partnerships, workforce transformation and leadership, as well as circular economy and ESG practices in healthcare.

Comparative studies between Eastern and Western European countries are particularly encouraged, along with research that offers practical implications for healthcare managers, policymakers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
