Mark Dubrulle is President & Executive Director of the Club of Rome EU-Chapter, in Brussels, and Ex Officio Member of the international Club of Rome. He has 48 years professional experience in environmental protection, environmental management and European affairs. A founding member of the Belgian environmental confederation Bond Beter Leefmilieu / Inter-environnement and its National Secretary from 1970 to 1980, delegate at the first UN Conference on the Human Environment (Stockholm 1972). He was co-founder and first Secretary of the Flemish green party Agalev(presently Groen!). As a senior consultant to dozens of industrial companies, government agencies and the European Commission, he specialised in environmental conflict resolution and facilitated major EC waste management projects in the 80’ and 90’s. He is the author or co-author of several publications on environmental matters, lecturing also at several universities in Belgium, France and the U.K. He is a Past President of the European Society for Environment and Development, GreenFacts – Scientific facts on Health and Environment – and the Forum Europe of Cultures.
Trained as a cadet at the Naval School, he spent two years at sea. His academic background is in social sciences at the Social Academy of his hometown Ghent (B).
Elected by EM Strasbourg Business School’s Board on 4 May 2016, Dr. Herbert Castéran has been officially appointed Dean of EM Strasbourg Business.
School by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Dr. Castéran was elected for a five-year mandate and succeeds Dr. Isabelle Barth who served in this position since May 2011.
Dr. Casteran, 48, is associate professor and member of the HUMANIS research laboratory at EM Strasbourg Business School. He holds a
Master’s degree from Science Po Toulouse, and Masters’ degrees in Statistics and Econometric and in Research in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, as well as a PhD in Management Sciences from Toulouse I University. For 12 years, he was the founder and the CEO of his own marketing research company.
He joined EM Strasbourg Business School in September 2010 as Director of Studies of the work-study/apprenticeship programme in marketing. A few years later he founded the Masters’ degree in Tourism Management that he supervised until his appointment as Dean.
Dr. Casteran’s research focuses on such themes as customer lifetime value, tourism and big data, and in particular on measuring the efficiency of marketing activities. Acknowledged for his expertise in impact studies, he has consulted a number of businesses and institutions. Thus, in 2012 and in 2015 he researched the economic impact of EM Strasbourg Business School on the Alsace region. Later on he used his methodology to study the impact of Air France’s financial situation on metropolitan France, a study that he re-conducted in 2016.
Dr. Castéran is also the co-founder of the Observatory of the world-known Strasbourg Christmas Market.
IANCU GUDA, CFA, EMBA, is CEO of Coface Credit Management Services, where he is responsible for the development of service lines and where he has accumulated more than 12 years’ experience in credit risk management. In 2017, Iancu Guda was authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority for the position of Independent Administrator on the Board of Directors of BRD Asset Management. In 2010, after graduating from the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange from The Academy of Economic Studies, Iancu Guda successfully completed the DOFIN – European Excellence Center and in 2016 all three levels of CFA certification. Also, he holds the trainer’s license from the National Qualifications Authority. In November 2014, he started the EMBA Sheffield University courses, which he finished with a distinguished mark at the end of 2016, being the only winner of the full national scholarship. Since March 2012, he is an active member of the Banking and Banking Analysts Association of Romania (AAFBR) and takes over the responsibility of the Vice President for the period 2014-2016, followed by the mandate of the Board of Directors of AAFBR for the period 2016-2018.
