In the last year, technology, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI, has become an indispensable catalyst for growth and transformation across industries. Organizations and institutions have rapidly embraced these innovations, redefining the paradigms of operation and interaction. This swift technological evolution, while continuing its momentum, has significantly disrupted traditional business practices, paving the way for novel services and products: from Chat GPT-4 to Stable Diffusion.

Tech companies in developed countries, although contributing to less than 10% of GDP, command substantial market capitalization and draw considerable attention. This has instigated a wave of tech entrepreneurship initiatives, especially in the realm of AI, across US and Europe, leading to frequent announcements of groundbreaking ventures. Universities are actively contributing to this trend, developing programs that not only focus on entrepreneurship and technology but also delve deep into the applications of AI and Generative AI, thereby attracting a new wave of students keen on pioneering startups.

Traditional ‘white collar’ industries are experiencing a profound transformation, facing both challenges and opportunities with the advent of AI-driven newcomers and market platforms. These platforms, powered by intelligent algorithms, are not just creating new ways to conduct business but also transforming how we allocate our time and resources.

The digital and tech-centric future, heavily influenced by AI and Generative AI, is no longer a distant dream; it is our present reality.

This mini-track aims to foster academic discourse and facilitate knowledge exchange on the practical applications of AI and Generative AI in the business domain, elucidating their role in driving innovation and entrepreneurship.

The main topics covered by the hereby call for papers are related to:

  • The intersection of technology entrepreneurship and AI

  • The evolution of AI-driven market platforms

  • Leveraging intelligent automation and Generative AI in business

  • Strategies for launching AI-centric startups

  • Case studies exemplifying the impact of AI in tech entrepreneurship
