The 15th International Conference on Business Excellence
Digital Economy and New Value Creation
Digital Economy and New Value Creation
18-19 March 2021, Bucharest, Romania
“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Abraham Lincoln
Mini Track Chair:
Adriana Miclea, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, UNESCO Department for Business Administration
The development and use of new models and concepts to support decision making in business and project management problems has been increasing in recent years, with a variety of techniques being applied. Usually, decision support in these realms needs to consider different criteria to evaluate whether a solution is good. In the assessment of solution quality, different stakeholder views must often be captured; therefore, participatory decision making techniques are very useful. When decision support methods are used correctly the project manager increases the chances of success.
For this track, we welcome discussions of how multiple criteria are selected and modeled, and which approaches can be used in solving both business and project management problems. Submissions should also provide insights from the practitioners’ perspective, e.g., how did the model perform, what assumptions had to be considered? Finally, we encourage authors to consider both the perspective of the facilitator as well as the decision maker.
The MCDA (AHP/ANP) minitrack chairs, jointly with The UNESCO Department for Business Administration, encourage participants as academic researchers, practitioners from the business sector, PhD students, people working in public administration (central bank, controlling authorities) and in the non-governmental sector, etc. to submit papers on the proposed topics.
The main topics covered by the hereby call for papers are related to:
- Preference modelling in business decisions and/or project management
- Multi-objective optimization using Multi-Attribute Utility, Value Theories, AHP, ANP or MACBETH contributions for finance, energy planning problems, sustainable development
Applications of non-classical MCDA in business or project management using fuzzy integrated approach, verbal decision methods or the fuzzy sets in decision analysis
- Stakeholders analysis
Participatory decision making
Resources allocation
Evaluation of solutions
Evaluation of candidates
