Digitalization in the era of IoT, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence changes the profile of the consumers, employees and the practice of management and business administration as we know it: new IT software, tools and smart connected devices, through their dynamic evolution, are continuously modifying the way consumers keep themselves informed and make purchasing decision. Within organizations, these new technologies have changed the structure of the organization, the work that is being performed and the skills that are required, as well the way that members communicate with each other. Artificial intelligence and big data have transformed the decision-making process. These transformations and predictions of the future evolution of the digital economy are the subject of the “Business Digitalization in Digital Business Transformation” mini-track.

The main topics covered by the hereby call for paper are related to:

  • Digital marketing (SEM, mobile marketing, digital communication)

  • The decision-making process in the digital economy

  • Social Media strategy

  • ERP and cloud systems as part of the business organization

  • IoT and competitive strategies in smart products’ markets

Professor Florina Pînzaru teaches General Management and Fundamentals of Marketing at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), Bucharest, Romania. She is also Dean of the Faculty of Management of SNSPA since 2011 and Head of The Research Center in Management and Leadership of SNSPA. Florina Pînzaru has more than 10 years of experience as marketer for important Romanian enterprises and multinational corporations in furniture, energy and utilities. Her latest consultancy and research projects are focused on the digital strategies of companies as part of their strategic business approaches. Some of Mrs. Pînzaru’s most important publications are „Marketing Handbook: Classic Principles and Modern Efficient Techniques” (in Romanian: „Manual de marketing: principii clasice și tehnici moderne eficiente”), C.H. Beck, Bucharest, 2009 and “Congratulations, You Are a Manager Now!” (in Romanian, “Felicitări, ai fost promovat manager!”), Tritonic, Bucharest, 2013. Cătălina Chinie is a lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages and an Agile and Design Thinking enthusiast. She teaches Entrepreneurship, Business Models and Product Development and Prototyping. Catalina has over 15 years of professional experience in Finance and IT sectors, where she has acquired knowledge about BI and ERP systems, financial appraisal and management of projects and different project methodologies. She has published papers that discuss the impact that IT technologies have on the economy, mainly with regard to sustainable development. Prof. Chinie is the Program Director of the Master in Digital Business and Innovation at FABIZ, being engaged in growing the professional and academic network of the Faculty of Business Administration through partnerships with leading IT companies and technology universities.

Dragos Vespan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics of the Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest, Romania. In 2002 he graduated the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics at the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest and since 2008 he has a PhD degree on Artificial Intelligence. Also, he is certified as IPMA level C in Project Management by Romanian Project Management Association. His work focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Text Mining and Internet Technologies.

The conference is organized by Society for Business Excellence and Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages on the 21-23 of March 2024 at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) in partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Economics (EAM) and the Faculty of International Economic Relations (REI). 

The papers accepted at ICBE 2024 will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration, payment, and presentation. The papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings volume under the German Publishing House De Gruyter and they will be indexed in EBSCO, Proquest, ExLibris, OCLC, Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, CELDES, CNPIE, Naviga, and will be submitted to Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science (WOS) Conference Proceedings Citation Index (https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/picbe/picbe-overview.xml

The last 7 editions of the Proceedings of the ICBE volumes have been indexed in ISI Web of Science.

In addition, the best three Papers (Best paper Award Management&Marketing) will be published in the international journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society by De Gruyter Open, indexed in Web of Science- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, Proquest, Cabell’s Directory and more than 20 other international databases (www.degruyter.com/view/j/mmcks).

Submitted papers will also be considered for publication in the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (ISSN 1911-8074). JRFM is ranked B in the 2022 ABDC Journal Quality List and indexed by a number of databases, including Scopus (CiteScore = 2.8), EconBiz/ECONIS, EconLit, EconPapers (RePEc), etc. JRFM is now #10 on the list based on the citation index (H5) for finance. In addition, two best paper awards (300 CHF each) will be published in the conference’s special issue “Smart Solutions for Sustainable Economics and Finance” of JRFM

Selected papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Financial Studies (ISSN: 2559-1347). JFS has been published by the Institute of Financial Studies since 2016. In its pages, works by professional practitioners, but also by authors from the scientific and university world in the country and abroad, as well as young researchers, will be published, concerning issues in the financial field such as: insurance-reinsurance, capital market, private pensions but also in other fields such as the academic field, the business field etc. The journal is indexed in DOAJ, RePEc, CEEOL, ERIHPLUS and Google Scholar (https://revista.isfin.ro/en/).
